Astro Colony Overview:
Astro Colony is an endless simulation focused on exploration, automation and management. You play as an unnamed character who is parked in an apartment in a ruined city. Every day is a struggle, with limited supplies and exhausting willpower. Our character decides that he does not want to die alone, and goes in search of someone who gives meaning to his minimal existence. As he ventures, he meets other characters, but they all seem quite strange. Are they real, or a product of your imagination? Is that all it seems, or just an illusion? But the choice in the game is important here.
The game has about six different endings (one of which is a slight alteration of another ending), with four available in the first game. The ending you are aiming for is not determined by the simple options A or B, but by the way you play. And almost everything affects it. How often do you eat? How often do you sleep? Do you use transfer mirrors to get home? Do you dedicate yourself to side missions? Do you do funny but nonsensical things to help your sanity? Do you help or harm this guy? Do you kill or avoid enemies? All of these options add up to an invisible score (which is finally shown to you after the credits) which determines the final path you are following. Well, that’s except for one ending, where you have to do a secret side quest to get it.
