About Garden Tower Defense:
I was a little skeptical of Garden Paws when I first picked it up, but I have to say I fell in love a lot. It’s not the most polished game and it can be pretty soft, but something about it for me really puts it there with Stardew Valley and Slime Rancher. It’s a much bigger game than it might seem at first. There’s a lot of content, but it’s slowly being implemented as you complete missions and spend time. I was very impressed with the degree to which the game gradually provides various amenities / automation to speed things up and give you more time to explore and try new things. The game is also very quiet, basically with no consequences for fainting or nothing.
You can build your own house, bridges on difficult terrain, or your own celestial fortress, and it’s amazing to see the earth gradually transform into your hands. There is also a tool to move things to the exact place you want for OCD between us. On the other hand, many of the construction parts don’t fit as well as I would like and most things don’t automatically fit very well, which can make the construction a bit tedious. At the end of the day, this is just a super cute game and a fun world to explore. You can glide in the style of Breath-of-the-Wild like any cute animal you can dream of while running a farm, fishing, or on missions. I’m pretty picky when it comes to casual gaming and was very happy to find a new one that scratched the same itch as Stardew. I highly recommend checking it out.
