Hard to describe, but it looks like a classic lost ps2 game, in a very good way. I love it. The soundtrack is great, it doesn’t hit. A good piece of art that manages to capture that feeling that certain PS2 games have to perfection. I’m constantly wondering if this was some hidden gem of a game that some great publisher decided to release on Steam, but it was actually made and released this year. Congratulations to the team for making such a fun game that it doesn’t look like anything I’ve played before but it looks like a classic that I missed as I grew up. 10/10 is a must try. Estimated playback time of 11 hours to complete 100%. The map of this game is quite large and the fast travel places scattered around do not make it too painful to go back.
In this game there are many items, especially consumables, but I never found the need to use them. Fighting bosses can be difficult at times, as being hit can often cause a lot of damage. However, there are many equipments and spells to equip and using the right ones can help a lot in dealing with bosses. There are some puzzles that are needed, many of the solutions for these can be found in the form of notes as you explore. The game also features a new + game mode after being completed for a bit of added value if it’s yours.
