The premise of “Buried: An Interactive Story” (BAIS) is that you are the leader of a recording team that suddenly discovers that he and his crew are the victims of a mysterious and unknown disaster at the bottom of the forest. He’s in an underground government facility, where things are really starting to go wrong. The story / game is divided into 5 chapters, each chapter is divided into small segments, allowing pauses. The story of BAIS is pretty basic, like Lovecraft, and not particularly original. That said, I would also say that the mood generated is appropriately creepy, with a story that feels complete and real, in the context of this type of game.
If the idea were to simply create a great story, it would fail. But since the issue is to create an interactive story, it is quite successful, as the story does not lead to more history, but to more decisions. The purpose is simply to lead the player to the next option, and the options really stand out (at least for the first three chapters). Choices are often quite difficult to make, as they almost always involve other characters for whom you feel. a true sense of responsibility. Some options are simply to move the story and give the feeling that the answer would have varied little depending on the decision made, if any. Some options are important, as you will be notified once your choice is final. At the end of each chapter, the player receives a notification of the statistics that include each significant option among the existing players.
