Let me eliminate my biggest complaint first: the game is mechanically a scam. Resource management, time management, money, even affinity, none of that really makes much difference.
No matter what your options are, you will often be forced to do things that you think you have a choice of, you will only fail if you actively try, and yet all that can happen is that you are blocked by a different option that doesn’t matter. I’ve already played this game three times and couldn’t get a different ending if it still exists. Similarly, even in my third game in which I tried to make my team hate me, I just couldn’t: they’re set up to like you, no matter what the affinity gauges suggest. The mechanics of this game are ready for what is definitely a very linear experience. Those things appear a lot in the trailer, but it’s not really the selling point at all. If you’re looking for in-depth management, you’re going to play a survival game or something.
