Tilebreaker Incredipede is basically a fun and functional version of QUAP. This is one of the most interesting paltformers I’ve played, because unlike other type games, you can’t hold down the right arrow and wait for your creature to reach the end of the level. With each creature you have to sit down and figure out how to move your body. It really bothered me to make sense of the seemingly random movements of the more complex prefabricated creatures. And let’s not forget the unique artistic style of Incredipedes. You can’t see animated artwork cut into wood every day. Thomas Shahan, who was the artist of this game, really deserves a giant bag of cookies. And the same goes for Colin Northway, who programmed this flash game! I never would have thought that a flash game could look so good and still run at a consistent frame rate.
You basically have to solve each level with 2 to 4 buttons. Although it may seem simple, it makes you think of some of the most difficult levels. Then, in hard mode, you really have to create limbs and muscles for your creation to move through the level to the end. Each level is very short, and most of the time is spent just trying to figure out how to complete each level. There’s also a sandbox / level editor mode that lets you create your own levels and share them online. You can also select levels and rate them from other users.
