The Traveler is a rather exceptional character, not only for his bold and curious personality, but also for his unique special power. It can slow down time to a halt and resume at will! This skill will be useful as Timerunner’s main mechanic; you can use it to your advantage in several ways: dispatch opponents, move around the game world, and solve puzzles, among others. However, be careful: time manipulation is not easy and you only have a lot of energy at your disposal. If you run out, you will have no choice but to free time back to its natural flow and face what awaits you in it! But things are not as we know them on the Blue Planet. Strange forces seem to be in place that make the days of our world as different from their nights as,
well, night and day! The day seems to be the domain of civilization, a time to confront the modern forces of the human army, understandably feverish for putting themselves in the hands of a powerful alien and getting in their way. After sunset, the world seems to be ruled by the creations of the human imagination. Centaurs, ogres, phoenixes, and even dragons emerge from the darkness to oppose the alien traveler.
For what purpose? How do they come to be? Some of these questions will be addressed as the hunter pursues his rewards. In addition to his ability to stop time, the alien traveler relies on his adventurous instincts and quickly adapts the protected weapons on Earth to his needs, be it a pistol, a revolver, a shotgun, an assault rifle or a rocket launcher. Combined with their time-manipulation skills, each of them can show incredible results on the battlefield, an advantage that the Traveler will have to take advantage of when faced with overwhelming odds of various enemies with his own variety of unique abilities.
